CFD : ADVANCED TOPOLOGY OPTIMISATION

In this video we can see how the design of the gyroid for cooling of the mould cavity is the result of an advanced topology optimization process that:

  1. Maximizes the heat transfer between the mould cavity suface and the cooling fluid
  2. Minimize pressure drop needed for the operation of the cooling circuit
  3. Finding the optimum path for the fluids and thus avoiding dead areas). The results of the optimization are validated using an advanced conjugate CFD simulation
